Below Zero Precautions CoolSculpting Open House Tomorrow!   We will be having a CoolSculpting Open House on Tuesday, January 29th from 5:30-7:30.  Free brief assessments of areas and suitability will be done.  The first 20 RSVPs are entered to win a free cycle (one area of treatment).  Anyone scheduling that evening will receive 25% off and anyone purchasing 4 or more cycles will receive a free site of Botox.  Meet the staff and enjoy food and drink while learning what CoolSculpting is all about!   CoolSculpting is a technique to freeze unwanted fat from a variety of areas.  With our “Dual Sculpting” (two machines) the time is halved and flanks or abdomen can often be done in under an hour.  The most common areas are abdomen, flank/side, thighs, hips, arms, back, under buttock, bra line and under the chin.  The fat cells are permanently removed. Best of all is that there is almost no downtime so you can resume your activities the same day!  Call Joni who has 5 years’ experience to discuss your situation 513-793-5772.         Lower Abs and Flanks:  Before and One Month Post-Treatment     Mused after taking my parents to the restaurant, Carlo and Johnny.  Jeff Ruby still knows not only how to make a great steak, but also how to make everyone in the party feel special.   Below Zero Temperature Precautions   With the weather predicted to be below zero (not including the wind chill) The Centers for Disease Control has some recommendations to avoid injuries.   Adults and Children should wear:               Hats and scarves or face mask to cover the nose and mouth             Sleeves that are snug at the wrist             Mittens (they are warmer than gloves)             Water-resistant coat and boots             Several layers of loose fitting clothing Do not ignore shivering.  Persistent shivering is a sign to go indoors.   Your house:   Use fireplaces and wood burning stoves only if properly ventilated. Have a battery powered carbon monoxide detector. Eat a well-balanced diet.  It tends to keep you warmer. Never use a charcoal or gas grill indoors. Never use a generator indoors. Never leave lit candles unattended. To avoid frozen pipes leave cabinet doors open and the faucet dripping.   Your car:               Make sure it has had its maintenance.             Keep close to a full tank of gas.             Make sure the anti-freeze level is good. ALSO:  Keep blankets, boots, and other things to keep warm in case there is a problem with your car and you need to stay in it for some time.   Lastly, don’t forget the cold affects your pets also.             LA DOLCE VITA:   I recently ran across a recipe for a Manhattan that reverses the amount of bourbon and sweet vermouth making it with slightly less alcohol while preserving the flavor.  Don’t forget the Luxardo cherries however!   SKIN CARE SPECIAL:   This month’s special are products with the skin hydrating and plumping hyaluronic acids.  These include: SkinCeuticals B5 gel, Phytocorrective gel, and HA intensifier as well as SkinMedica’s HA5.  All will be 15% off.   Healthy living,   Peter McKenna, M.D. 513.793.5772 www.mckennamd.com   McKenna Cosmetic Surgery Center . 10577 Montgomery Road .
