Vitamin C
The claim that Vitamin C is a super nutrient and boosts immunity is debatable. People have been taking it for years thinking it helps stop colds and the flu.
Vitamin C helps your body make collagen (good for skin and bones), absorb iron (good for muscle growth), and create carnitine (good for turning dietary fat into energy). It is also an antioxidant which helps combat free radicals caused by chronic stress and protect your immune cells as they fight off infection.
Vitamin C may shorten the duration of a cold but does not boost immunity. It may also lower your risk of sickness after prolonged physical strain like running a marathon. Research has not shown it can fight Covid-19.

It is recommended to consume 200-400 mg of Vitamin C each day. Unlike vitamins B12 and K, your body does NOT store Vitamin C.
