Get some sleep!  Nap if necessary.  Remember alcohol affects sleep and if you do drink, drink in moderation.    Socialize, see friends and family, and stay connected.    Talk, laugh, cry and get it out.    Exercise regularly.  Shoot for 30 minutes 3 times/week.    Eat a healthy, balanced diet but don’t stress over a splurge.    Lose yourself in activities you enjoy.  Do regularly.    Get perspective, remember past hardships you overcame.    Live in the moment with small escapes like a book or movie.    Try yoga or meditation.    Listen to whatever music you like, it doesn’t have to be Xmas carols.    Take slow, deep breaths to tackle acute anxiety or anger.    Do something for others.    Look for the good and positive in every situation.  Optimism is catching.  Enjoy the holiday season.        Happy holidays!    Healthy living,    Peter McKenna, M.D. 513.793.5772 www.mckennamd.com    McKenna Cosmetic Surgery Center . 10577 Montgomery Road .
