Mused after watching the Bengals come back from a large deficit to win and go to the Super Bowl. They will be playing the Los Angeles Rams at their home field on Feb. 13.
COOLSCULPTING V. LIPOSUCTION, WHICH IS BETTER FOR YOU?
In general, CoolSculpting is best used to remove small amounts of fat in specific areas. Liposuction is usually used to remove larger amounts in diffuse areas.
The Procedure: CoolSculpting involves freezing fat cells and the body eliminates these dead cells. Liposuction has a series of small incisions and a thin tube is used to vacuum out the fat cells.
Safety: CoolSculpting is a noninvasive procedure and side effects are usually minor. Liposuction involves surgery and usually anesthesia with the associated risks.
Effectiveness and results: Coolsculpting can remove up to 25% of the fat cells in an area with each treatment. Liposuction removes as much fat as necessary to improve the contour of an area.
(Did You Know? Both CoolSculpting and liposuction permanently remove fat cells.)
Side Effects: CoolSculpting short term side effects can include bruising or skin sensitivity and usually resolves within weeks. Liposuction includes effects attributable to anesthesia as well as the surgery.
Recovery time: Can resume activities the same day with Coolsculpting although tenderness may be present. Liposuction recovery takes about 3-5 days with restrictions on activities 2-4 weeks.
Time to see full results: Coolsculpting is roughly 4-6 weeks whereas liposuction swelling can take up to 6 months.
LA DOLCE VITA, JOIE DE VIVRE
Easy Egg Casserole:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Dice a shallot, a fennel bulb, ½ lb. of cherry tomatoes, and ½ lb. of smoked salmon, cooked bacon or sausage. Mix 8 eggs and ½ cup of cream together. Add dry ingredients. Pour into casserole dish. Bake 20-30 minutes until egg is cooked.
Is it a Drink or is it a Dessert?
To a blender add; chocolate gelato, Irish Cream liquor (I get mine from Costco, inexpensive) and cold brew coffee. Mix until creamy. Use whatever amounts you find tasty, exploring is the fun part!
