  • Four Simple Habits Add 14 Years to Life, Botox Day Tomorrow!

    Want to live longer? People adhering to four simple health habits had only about one-quarter the risk of dying of those who didn’t adopt any of the healthy lifestyle practices, adding the equivalent of 14 years to their lives.

    The University of Cambridge Institute of Public Health studied 20,244 men and women ages 45 to 79. On average an 11-year follow up was done with adjusting for risk factors. The four health habits should not be any surprise.
    1. Not smoking
    2. Drinking moderately (one to 14 drinks per week)
    3. Keeping physically active
    4. Eating five servings of fruits and vegetables daily
    The link between these four and the mortality risk was greatest for deaths from cardiovascular disease and cancer.
