Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder.  The brain’s development is delayed, so there are deficiencies in regions affecting focus and thinking.  Behaviors linked to ADHD include impulsiveness, hyperactivity, and trouble paying attention.  Roughly 9% of children are diagnosed but many mature out of it leaving about 4.4% of adults with it, mostly men.

There are varying degrees of ADHD.  A diagnosis requires ongoing impairment or harm in two or more areas: home, work, and social life.  Those with ADHD are just as likely to marry as those without but more likely to divorce.

(Did You Know?  Some jobs are more conducive to those with ADHD because they are fast paced, require high concentration, or need problems solved.  They include trades, ER physician, management, military, sports and sales.)

Here are seven strategies to manage ADHD.

Manage the mundane with to do lists.

Recognize what creates your impulsive behavior and learn to manage it.

Keep track of time to give each activity an appropriate amount of time.

Organize your stuff so things don’t get lost.

    Minimize distractions.

Move to stay calm.  Exercise improves organizational ability.

Find what you love to do and let that be your focus.

New Kybella for fat under your chin!!!

Kybella is an injected solution that melts the fat under your chin.  From the same company that brings you Botox and Juvederm, the process is without anesthesia and usually takes 30 minutes.  Recommended are 2-3 treatments but down time is minimal.  Call for more information or to set up a complimentary consultation to see if you are a good candidate and what the costs would be.

Eyebrows too thin or lacking?  Microblading is a technique of applying permanent makeup with individual strokes simulating individual hairs.  Each stroke is purposely placed to mimic the natural flow of eyebrow hairs. Not the old way of coloring in the eyebrow area.
